The mission of the Mississippi Free Press, a nonprofit statewide newsroom, is to publish deep public-interest reporting into causes of and solutions to the social, political, and systemic challenges facing all Mississippians and their communities. We interrogate and report the systems that cause inequities on the road to lasting solutions through a mixture of narrative storytelling, data reporting, historic context and community dialogue through solution circles in under-reported communities to discover report causes and roots of inequities, followed by solutions journalism.

San Francisco Public Press

Founded in 2009, the San Francisco Public Press is a nonprofit, noncommercial news organization publishing and broadcasting independent public-interest journalism about under-covered topics, focusing on under-served audiences. We offer local investigative and solutions reporting at sfpublicpress.org and via “Civic,” a public affairs podcast also airing on KSFP 102.5 FM, our low-power community radio station. Coverage includes homelessness, housing affordability, public health, sea level rise, environmental equity, transportation safety, digital privacy, immigration and elections.

We have a strong commitment to providing unbiased, in-depth articles to readers of both our digital replica editions and our website. Traverse City Record-Eagle

The Traverse City Record-Eagle is northern Michigan's largest news outlet, operating print and digital publications, including a daily print edition, a quarterly magazine and two podcasts. The Record-Eagle has a strong history of strong watchdog reporting complemented by artful narrative writing.
