Beat: Health policy, including status of asbestos victims

This beat is for diggers who like to do lots of research. It includes tracking asbestos legislation in the Maryland General Assembly and court cases about asbestos-related health problems. It also involves following ongoing health policy debates and services issues in Maryland, including a self-dealing scandal at the University of Maryland Medical System, a new prescription drug affordability board and Maryland’s attempt to answer the potential demise of Obamacare. A mix of breaking news and long-term projects.
