El Tímpano
El Tímpano informs, engages and amplifies the voices of the Bay Area’s Latino and Indigenous Mayan immigrants. This nonprofit runs an SMS-based reporting platform to provide news and facilitate conversation, and investigates and reports the issues raised by the communities it serves. Its coverage is often published in partnership with other local, state, and national news outlets, and El Timpano's news site will soon launch.
